Woman calls cops to home, is arrested

A Pottsville woman who called police to talk about an incident at her residence ended up being arrested on drug charges after troopers observed her removing a plastic bag containing methamphetamine from her pants pocket.

State police at Schuylkill Haven report Tiffany Shannon George, 26, will face the charges in the magisterial district court in Orwigsburg after the incident at 7:30 p.m. May 26 at 316 Chestnut St. in the city.

Police said they met George in front of her residence and while speaking to her, they saw her take what they believed to be illicit drugs from her person. Police seized the bag and confirmed by field testing that it contained methamphetamine.
