Homeless woman charged with theft

Carin Elizabeth Hubbard, 28, who state police at the Frackville barracks said is homeless, was arrested and jailed on May 31 when police were summoned to investigate a theft by unlawful taking or disposition case.

The victim is a 37-year-old man from Gordon.

Police said the woman was found to be in possession of a stolen key fob from Sosnoski Automotive in Girardville, after which time she confessed as to how she took the fob and intended to steal a vehicle.

She was arraigned and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville, in lieu of $15,000 bail.
