Not a true friend

A Schuylkill County woman is facing theft charges for allegedly stealing from a person who "befriended" her.

State police at Frackville said Donald Crawley, 31, of Granny's Motel, 115 W. Coal St., West Mahanoy Township, befriended Amanda Fritz, 30, a downstairs resident of the motel. Troopers said Fritz then stole $480 in cash from Crawley's room.
