Investigation leads to DUI charges

A Carbon County man has been charged for his role in a one-car crash earlier this year.
At 10:14 p.m. Jan. 10, Mahoning Township Police investigated a single-vehicle crash on Mahoning Drive West. A GMC Sierra truck struck and sheared a utility pole, bringing cable wires down across the roadway.
The driver of the GMC, Brian Kintz, 42, of Lehighton, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 5.
