More than a pound of marijuana found

Over a pound of marijuana was found in a vehicle following a traffic stop along Interstate 80 westbound in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said a 2013 Hyundai Azera was stopped at 2:21 p.m. on Saturday for traffic violations. The driver was identified as Sharif James Seals, 41, of 46 Darling St., Wilkes-Barre.

Troopers detected multiple indicators of criminal activity. A consent search of the vehicle revealed about 1.2 pounds of marijuana located in the trunk. Seals was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
