Three people were injured, one seriously, in a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Main and Saint Johns streets, in Ringtown, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Robert A. Fodor, 74, of Kulpmont, Columbia County, was driving a 2010 Toyota Highlander westbound when he failed to notice a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse legally parked on the right side and unoccupied. The Highlander struck the Traverse on the driver's side rear with the passenger side front. Upon impact the Highlander spun counterclockwise back into the westbound lane and struck the front of a 2009 Pontiac G3 driven by Bonnie L. Aponick, 73, of Ringtown.

Aponick was seriously injured and flown by medical helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Fodor and a passenger with Aponick, Robert J. Aponick, 77, of Ringtown sustained minor injuries. Aponick was taken to Geisinger-Danville, while Fodor was taken to Geisinger-Shamokin. All were wearing seat belts.
