Schuylkill man facing charges

A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Saturday about 5:47 p.m.

State police at Frackville responded to 115 W. Coal St., Room No. 14, Granny's Hotel, in West Mahanoy Township.

Troopers learned that Stephen Anthony Mackeravage, 45, of Shenandoah, and a 48-year-old woman from that address, engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical.

During the incident Mackeravage pushed the woman by her neck onto a bed and then smacked her in the head.

Troopers said he will be charged with harassment.
