Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Monroe
A pedestrian was struck and injured in a Monroe County incident.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 11:52 a.m. on March 20 at the intersection of routes 940 and 611 in Mount Pocono.
Police said Claphille Talbot, 53, of Tobyhanna, was driving a vehicle eastbound on 940 and approaching a traffic light at the intersection with 611 when Hermano Fleurimond, 20, of Tobyhanna, attempted to cross 940. Police said Talbot’s vehicle struck Fleurimond causing injuries. Fleurimond was flown to the Community Medical Center, Scranton.
The investigation is continuing.
