Teen taken to hospital from Jim Thorpe crash

An Albrightsville teen was transported to Gnaden Huetten Hospital in Lehighton following a two-vehicle crash at 5 p.m. Tuesday on Route 209 in Jim Thorpe.

Police said a vehicle driven by Samantha Alonso, 18, struck a vehicle that stopped abruptly in front of her to allow another a vehicle to make a turn.

The other vehicle involved was driven by Joshua Knipe, 30, of Sheppton.

Knipe was not injured.

Alonso's vehicle was towed from the scene.
