Pennsylvania State Trooper, Troop G, Landon Eugene Weaver, 23

Shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance, violation of PFA call on 12/30/2016. The subject, who had been released on bail on felony charges earlier in the month, was shot and killed by state police the next morning. Weaver had served one year.

Canonsburg Borough Police Department Patrolman Scott Leslie Bashioum, 52

Shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call on 11/10/16. He and his partner were ambushed and shot by the subject; his partner survived. The offender committed suicide. Bashioum had served seven years.

Corrections Officer David M. Weaver, 59

Tripped and struck his head on a concrete wall while supervising inmates during outdoor recreation at State Correctional Institution, Graterford. Weaver was the only officer present. The inmates said Weaver fell, striking his head, while avoiding a thrown football. He had served 13 years.

Corrections Officer Kristopher David Moules, 25

Moules and an inmate fell down an elevator shaft during a struggle inside the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. Both died in the fall, which occurred 7/18/2016. Moules had served for 10 months.
