Man has medical emergency, crashes

A Kunkletown man experienced a medical emergency while driving on Gower Road in Polk Township at 4:47 p.m. Sept. 2, resulting in a one-vehicle crash.

Police said Santiago Rodriguez, 50, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet S10 on Gower Road, near its intersection with East Point Road, when the emergency happened. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and through a fence at the entrance to a private property, coming to rest on the property of the Jonas Mountain Nature Preserve.

Police said Rodriguez was not injured.
