Son charged with choking his mother

Dishon Springer, 20, of 134 Anna Road, Blakeslee, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, following his arrest by Pocono Mountain Regional Police after he assaulted his mother at 11:02 a.m. Sept. 2 at the above residence.

Police said he was charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment.

Police said the mother reported he punched and choked her.

Police said there was evidence of injury to the victim.
