Man charged with DUI in McAdoo

McAdoo police filed charges in connection with an Aug. 3 incident after receiving results of blood work taken that day.

Shawn Markle, 51, of Hazle Township, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.

Markle was stopped at 12:40 a.m. that day after officers saw his vehicle swerving over the double yellow lines on East Blaine Street. He was given, and failed, field sobriety tests before being taken to the hospital for a blood draw.

The results came back positive, showing a 0.195 percent blood alcohol level, more than double the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
