Stolen vehicle crashes in Polk Twp. yards

State police at Lehighton were summoned at 9:15 p.m.Saturday to the 100 block of Highpoint Drive in Polk Township after someone stole a vehicle and crashed it into two yards in the neighborhood.

Police said the victims are a 55-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Kunkletown.

Police said it was initially reported to them that someone stole the vehicle and caused criminal mischief in the neighborhood.

It was later learned the suspect took the 55-year-old man's vehicle, drove it through his yard and that of the 38-year-old man, crashing into a swing set and coming to rest against a tree in the back of the second victim's property.
