Both drivers cited in crash

Both drivers involved in a crash in Schuylkill County on Wednesday have been cited.

State police at Frackville said the crash occurred at 6:05 p.m. along Brandonville Road (Route 339), in Mahanoy Township. Troopers said Christine M. Gottshall, 48, of Ringtown, was driving a 2017 Jeep Wrangler northbound and rounding a curve when her vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jacqueline L. Wetzel, 28, of Mahanoy City.

Wetzel was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton Campus, for a suspected minor injury, troopers said. Gottshall and a passenger with Wetzel, Gino R. Adubato, 25, of Mahanoy City, were not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Troopers cited Gottshall for the crash and Wetzel for driving without a license.
