LEHIGHTON STATE POLICE - DUI

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence arrests. In each case, troopers declined to release the name of the suspect.

• A 27-year-old man from Effort was involved in a crash along Jonas Road, east of Camp Trexler Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, at 8:06 a.m. on Friday. Troopers said the man was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody and transported to the county DUI center. Charges are pending blood test results.

• Also on Friday, about 3:30 p.m. a 36-year-old woman from Lehighton was stopped along Bank Street near White Street in Bowmanstown, Carbon County, for traffic violations. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and marijuana was recovered in the vehicle. She was taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending test results. She is also facing a drug possession charge.

• A 54-year-old man from Palmerton was stopped at 9:58 p.m. at Third Street and Columbia Avenue in Palmerton for a traffic violation. He showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending the test results.
