McAdoo police log

McAdoo Police cited Martin Perez Villa, 50, of Hazleton, after a traffic stop on Aug. 23.

Villa was stopped at 6:24 a.m. after officers clocked him traveling 41 mph in a 25 mph zone. The Pennsylvania identification card Villa provided to the officer had several inconsistencies, such as a wrong abbreviation in the address. A records check determined the car was a fraud.

Villa was cited for possession of a fraudulent official document, speeding and driving without a valid license.

• A reported domestic incident in McAdoo on Aug. 6 resulted in charges for three people.

Crystal Lopez, 26, of McAdoo, told police she had been assaulted by a man she knew only as Franklyn. Two witnesses, Kaitlin Karnish, 19, of McAdoo, and Amira Calderon, 19, of Hazleton, agreed that Franklyn assaulted Lopez.

A few days later, Lopez changed her story and said it was a different man who assaulted her.

She, Karnish and Calderon were charged with filing a false report, while Lopez and Karnish were also charged with disorderly conduct for the domestic incident.
