2018 reorganization meeting: Walnutport borough council

During its Tuesday night meeting in Walnutport, the borough council reorganized with some familiar and some new faces.

William Turk retained his role as president along with Harold Greene as vice president. Patrice Hunsicker, Jennifer Wentz, David Stankovic and Joan Rehrig remained in their board seats while former member Michael Gaston rejoined the council after beating Nancy Treskot in the November election. Wayne Weidner remains the borough mayor.

Turk assigned Wentz to the financial and recreation committees, Gaston to law and personal committees, Stankovic to streets and personnel committees, Hunsicker remained on the solid waste committee and joined the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority; while Greene took over the ordinance review committee and Rehrig was assigned to the Walnutport Playground and Walnutport Canal associations.

The newly formed council will hold its first monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the borough hall building on South Lincoln Avenue.
