2018 Reorganization meeting: West Penn Township supervisors

West Penn Township will be under different leadership this year.

Supervisor Tony Prudenti was appointed as board chairman during the board of supervisors reorganization meeting on Tuesday.

The board also agreed to appoint new Supervisor Tim Houser as vice chairman. Houser took his seat on the board after winning a term in office this past November. He had previously served on the board.

Also as part of its reorganization, the board approved the following:

• Karen Wittig, treasurer, $26,465.

• Katie Orlick, secretary, meeting/recording secretary for board of supervisors and planning commission meetings, right-to-know officer, $17.50 per hour.

• Herb Woodring, part-time secretary, $15 per hour.

• Paul Datte, solicitor, board of supervisors and planning commission, $135 per hour, $250 retainer fee.

• Bill Anders, engineer, Lehigh Engineering LLC and UCC building code administrator.

• Robert S. Frycklund, zoning hearing board attorney, $95 per hour.

• A resolution appointing Lehigh Engineering LLC for administration and building code enforcement, and adoption of the fee schedule.

• Appointed James Dean and reappointed William Varano to the zoning hearing board.

• Reappointed RoseAnne Georgiades and Robert Miller to the planning commission.

• James Akins, Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission.

• Reappointed Dennis Kabana, Darryl Fritz and Robert Neumoyer to the park commission.

• William Brior, sewage enforcement officer; Bill Anders, Lehigh Engineering LLC, alternate sewage enforcement officer; Samantha Brior, alternate sewage enforcement officer.

• Adopted a resolution establishing sewage enforcement officer procedures and fees.

• Singleton Harvey, flood plain administrator and roadmaster, $22 per hour.

• Jeremy Frable, road crew leader.

• Jeremy Frable, road crew full-time driver/laborer, $21.75 per hour; Dennis Fritzinger, road crew, full-time driver/laborer, $19.48 per hour.

• Joseph Fritz, Ronald Wehr, Larry Faust, seasonal road workers/plow, $16.50 per hour; James Dean, Jordan Georgis, and Chance Szabo, seasonal road workers/plow, $15 per hour.

• Brian Johnson, chief of police, $53,061.

• Jason Lorah, sergeant, full-time, $22.66 per hour.

• Cameo Semasek, police secretary, $13 per hour.

• John Kaczmarczyk, Dale Osenbach, Dean Deem, Dane O’Brein, Harry Brown, Anthony Houser, Richton Penn and Christopher Fischi, part-time patrol officers, $18 per hour.

• Joann Kunkle, cleaning person, office, $11 per hour.

• Cameo Semasek, cleaning person, police department, $11 per hour.

• Fred Gimbi, ground maintenance, parks, $11 per hour.

• Ted Bogosh, three-year term, Singleton Harvey, two-year term, William Varano, one-year term, Larry Stival, alternate, two-year term, Delroy Haas, alternate, four-year term, property maintenance appeals board.

• Adopted a resolution for the establishment of the fire chief and assistant fire chief.

• Dennis Fritzinger Jr., fire chief.

• Jeff Bradford, assistant fire chief.

• Approved the township fire company’s activities for 2018.

• Dennis Fritzinger Jr, emergency management coordinator.

• Kevin Mengel, assistant emergency management coordinator.

• Chester Snyder, vacancy board chairman.

• Supervisors Prudenti in charge of office, Bogosh in charge of police and Houser in charge of road crew.
