2019 general election: Schuylkill election results
In Coaldale borough, seven people ran for four seats, all four-year terms, on the council.
The top four who won the seats and their vote totals were Kenneth W. Hankey Jr., who had both nominations, 290; Claire Remington, Republican, 268; Wayne Fig Figner, Republican, 258; and Yvonne Stoffey, Democrat, 245. Out of the running were Mary Ann Markley, Republican, 212; Chad M. Gerber, Democrat, 162; and Pauline Y. McNavage, Democrat, 135. There were 40 write-in votes that will not affect the outcome.

Tamaqua
There was no race for council, four Republicans won in the primary and were unopposed Tuesday, for the four year terms. The order of finish was Brian Connely, 922; Ronald Bowman, 861; Thomas Cara, 857; and Robert Amentler, 836. There were 33 write-in votes.
There was also a two-year seat on council, with Mary Linkevich, who had both nominations, getting 1,120 votes.
Rush Township
Shawn Gilbert, a Republican, was unopposed for a six-year term as supervisor. The incumbent got 686 votes. There were 36 write-in votes.
Schuylkill Township
There was a race for a six-year term as supervisor. Republican Charles Fayash defeated Democrat Coleen Sadusky, 210 to 179. There were two write-in votes.
For auditor, six-year term, Christine Vedier, who had both nominations, got 324 votes, with 12 write-ins.
Walker Township
Kent O. Heisler, Republican, was unopposed for a six-year supervisor term, gathering 202 votes with 93 write-ins.
West Penn Township
Glen Hummel won a six-year term as supervisor, as he got both nominations in the primary. His vote total was 1,088. There were 19 write-in votes.
New Ringgold
There were three seats on borough council, four-year terms, with only two candidates. Republican Elena Hendricks got 43 votes and Democrat Elizabeth Fry got 34. There were 28 write-ins which, when counted, will decide the third winner.
Middleport
There were no races in Middleport. Democrat Kevin Dempsey was unopposed for mayor, four-year term, and got 90 votes with three write-ins. For council, two seats, four year terms, were up with two candidates. Republican Elizabeth Borger got 80 votes and Democrat Desiree McHugh got 61 votes with 12 write-ins.
McAdoo
There were four seats, four-year terms, up for election with a total of nine candidates. The winners were Republican William J. Slovik, 249; Republican Mary A. Labert, 248; Democrat John N. DeBalko, 238; and Republican Alberta Bumbulsky, 221. Finishing out of the running were Democrat Marion DeBalko, 211; Republican Francis Frank Orem, 190; Democrat Jessica Herness, 188; Libertarian Lucas Wood, 166; and Democrat Stacia Riccio, 107. There were five write-in votes.
Mahanoy City
There were four seats on borough council, four year terms, up for election with seven candidates. The winners were Republican Michael A. Connolly, 596; Republican Matthew Tacelosky, 591; Republican Benjamin E. Wiessner, 434; and Patricia Mullins, who had both nominations, 341. Those finishing out of the running were Democrats Francs P. Burke, 280; Louis Huber, 226; and Kathleen J. McKerns, 215. There were 13 write-in votes.
Kline Township
There was a race for supervisor, six year term. Republican Dale A. Wesner defeated Democrat Anthony J. Befano, 311 to 164, with six write-in votes.
New Philadelphia
There was a race for a seat on borough council, four-year term, with four candidates and three seats open. The top three voter getters were Ashley Zelinsky, who had both nominations, who has 225 votes followed by Democrat Patrick Hollywood, 189, and Republican Jen Colna, 161. Democrat Dennis A. Faust had 134 votes. There were 10 write-ins.
Blythe Township
There was a race for supervisor, six-year term. Republican John Bowers had 175 votes to 82 for Democrat James Zembas. There were no write-ins
Auditor, six year term, Democrat Michele M. Zembas got 171 unopposed votes with two write-ins.
Delano Township
There were no races in Delano Township. Republican Jason Scarcella got 54 votes for six year term as supervisor, with five write-ins; Democrat Jane Baker 56 votes for auditor, four year term, no write-ins; and Republican Kelly Karlavage 62 votes with two write-ins.
Ryan Township
There were no races in Ryan Township. Lori A. Feldish-Ludi, who had both nominations, won a six-year supervisor seat with 442 votes with seven write-ins. Republican Daniel A. Gerber got 409 votes for auditor, six-year term, with two write-ins.
