2019 primary election: Ballard is seeking re-election to Palmerton borough council
Michael J. Ballard is seeking re-election to Palmerton council.
“I have served the great borough of Palmerton going on my 10th year and I have only ever missed one meeting during these years.” Before serving on borough council, he served seven years on the Palmerton school board, which included five years on IU #21 board also.
“During my time on borough council there has been only one tax increase, we also have paved all our streets, including our alleys, and reduced the interest rates on bonds that we have and saved the taxpayers a very nice sum,” he said.
“The rose garden project with the Concourse Club was very important to me to protect the history of our town and also keeping our park a beautiful place for years to come. It’s important to me to keep protecting Palmerton and working hard to make sure that Palmerton stays the nice place to live,” he said.
“So please vote for me on May 21 for the two-year borough council seat which I am running for on the Republican ticket.
“One thing to remember is that the council members I serve with do not play party politics, we always do what is best for Palmerton and its residents. I also want to thank everyone who have voted for me in the past, and I am asking for your votes again so that I may continue to serve the great people of Palmerton.”
