2019 primary election: Boni announces candidacy for Carbon clerk of courts
Tyra Boni of Lehighton has announced her candidacy for the Carbon County Clerk of Courts Office. She will seek the nomination of the Republican Party in the primary election on May 21.
In announcing her candidacy, Boni said that she decided to run because she wants to give back to the county and community that gave her and her family so many opportunities. Boni was born and raised in Franklin Township, where she is an elected Republican committee member.
She is the daughter of David and Irene Williams and a 1987 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. She resides in Lehighton with her husband, Aldo, of 28 years. Together, they have raised two daughters, Miranda, married to Benjamin Wommer, and Gabriella, engaged to Dominic Lorenzo. In addition to their growing family, they have two grandsons, Weston and Declan.
Currently working as first deputy in the Register of Wills Office, Boni has personally assisted in implementing efficiencies that have modernized operating procedures, and she would like to bring that energy and knowledge to the Clerk of Courts Office. Boni believes her 15 years of small business management and administrative experience will allow her to bring an expertise and efficiency to the Clerk of Courts Office.
When asked what is the greatest asset she will bring to this office, she said, “Most importantly, I have acquired the fiduciary responsibilities and the management skills needed to be an effective administrator of the Clerk of Courts office.”
It is her belief that with integrity and transparency, along with sound management and team unity, the office can be brought to one that will be respected and admired.
Boni said, “I will display integrity and honesty in all my interactions and treat all that I encounter with the utmost respect and dignity. It is time for a positive change, and I will work hard every day to give the people of Carbon County a Clerk of Courts office they can have confidence in and trust.”
