2019 Primary election: Republican Adams is running for Schuylkill County treasurer
Kira Adams is seeking the Schuylkill County treasurer seat on the Republican ticket.
Adams is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. She grew up in a small family business where her father was an accountant and taught her how to manage a business and do account receivables and payables.
After working in the medical field for years, managing a dance studio and working as an office manager for a local chiropractor, she decided to open her own small business. For the past 15 years she has owned and operated Dance Explosion and Tumble Academy, acting as her own accountant for her business.
Adams is a loving and devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters, Natiya age 10 and Navaya age 1.
She has been active in community service since graduating college. She has donated her time and made contributions to the Carbon/Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society where her students perform every year and has raised thousands to this cause she holds dear to her heart as her mother passed away in 2010 from her battle with cancer.
Adams volunteers at local SPCAs and is the JV cheerleading coach and assistant varsity coach for Blue Mountain High School. Adams is an active member of the PTO at her daughter’s school, where she volunteers her time to school functions and chaperones field trips to name a few.
Adams takes great pride in her fiscal responsibility and plans to make the office run more smoothly, cost effectively and make sure there is transparency in the office.
