2019 primary election: Scott R. Pompa announces candidacy for Jim Thorpe school board seat

Scott R. Pompa was born and raised on Center Avenue in Jim Thorpe. A graduate of the Jim Thorpe Area High School class of ’79, Pompa and his spouse, Lisa ‘Kattner’ Pompa, class of ’82, have resided in Penn Forest Township atop Kattner’s Mountain since 2001. Their children Kristin and Zak are both students in the school district.

Pompa strongly supports family morals and values.

Pompa believes his life experiences interacting with government, in combination with his 28 years in leadership positions as a corrections supervisor, Carbon County Correctional Facility; steward, Teamsters Local 773; and department manager, residential services, KidsPeace National Treatment Centers, have prepared him with the necessary experience, skills and credentials to be a leader in governing the district.

Pompa will focus on the education of district students, oversight of district spending, accountability of district community and representing you at the table against unnecessary taxation.

Pompa is committed to working collaboratively to effect positive change that benefits students, employees, parents and taxpayers while protecting your wallets and enhancing the overall image of the Jim Thorpe Area School District.

Pompa has cross-filed and will be listed on the Republican and Democratic ballots for the May 21 primary election.
