42,502 are on the election rolls in Carbon County

A total of 42,502 people are eligible to vote in the General Election on Nov. 7, according to the party affiliations certified recently by the Carbon County Board of Elections.

Of that total, the Democratic Party continues to hold the registration plurality with 18,149 people on its rolls. That is only 121 voters more than the Republican Party registration, which is 18,028.

Meanwhile, 3,534 people opt to have “no affiliation” with a political party, while 1,082 others are registered Independents and another 865 are nonpartisans.
