5K fun run/walk for Care Net of Carbon to be held June 1

Care Net of Carbon County is hosting a 5K Fun Run/Walk on June 1 at the Penn Forest Township Recreational Park along Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

Registration forms are available online at carenetcarbon.org. The event benefits Care Net of Carbon County, a faith-based nonprofit ministry located in Lehighton and Nesquehoning.

Registration fee is $30 for adults. The registration fee for children under 12 is $15.

Check-in will start at 10 a.m. and the run/walk begins at 11 a.m.

Participants who solicit sponsors or donations will also be eligible to earn a prize for the highest dollar amount raised.

Food and beverages will also be available for purchase on that day.
