Acoustic entertainers will perform at Blue Ridge Winery
On Sept. 23, Blue Ridge Winery will host the first-ever East Coast “Live in the Vineyard East.”
Over four hours, acoustic entertainers will perform on the picturesque 80-acre vineyard.
According to owner Randy Detrick, the partnership between the winery and LITV Entertainment Group came about after Skip and Jennifer Isley visited his winery over a year ago.
“Skip and Jennifer were visiting while I was digging up the barrels of the ‘Underground Wine,’ and Skip said we should work together,” said Detrick.
LITV East will kick off at noon and will feature performances by Ed Roland and Jesse Triplett of multi-Platinum selling group Collective Soul, special guest appearance by Justin Furstenfeld of multi-Platinum selling group Blue October, and 27-year-old singer-songwriter Haley Reinhart, all who will perform acoustic sets to bring the music up close and personal for all who attend to enjoy.
“All the performers have been very gracious,” said Detrick.
The event will take place in the vineyard’s open field.
“Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the field,” said Detrick.
Detrick and his wife started the winery four years ago on Sept. 20, after selling his medical business to build the vineyard.
“I sold it after the health care changes started. I created the winery to enrich people’s lives and try to create great experiences,” he said.
Two years after opening its doors, Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery was ranked the “13th Winery in the Country,” and number 1 on the East Coast according to Travel & Leisure magazine.
“It’s been so much fun,” said Detrick.
“It’s a family atmosphere. We make all the wine, work the vineyard. Me and my wife (and two daughters) live here and employ about 70 people. It’s a simple life,” he said.
During the Sunday afternoon event, there will be food trucks on the premises while the winery will release seven new wines in addition to the 32 already on the menu.
“There will be a pizza truck, and he will have wood grilled pizza. It’s great stuff,” he said.
“We will also have Pennsylvania craft beers too,” he said.
“All the elements came together to create a fun event.”
The show starts at noon at the Blue Ridge Winery, 239 Blue Ridge Road in Saylorsburg.
Tickets can be purchased through the winery’s Facebook page: Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery & The Underground Experience or on its website at www.blueridgeestatewinery.com.
