An Albrightsville man was given a time-served sentence on Monday on Carbon County court after admitting he part in a theft from vehicle incident.

Nathan Allen Eckhart, 33, pleaded to one count of theft by receiving stolen property for an incident on Aug. 16, 2016, in Palmerton.

Eckhart drove a co-defendant to the area of Country Harvest. At the scene Eckhart got out of the vehicle and walked around the vehicle in question.

He then returned to his vehicle, at which point the co-defendant entered the parked car and stole 31 “Bomber” discount cards.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic accepted the plea and sentenced Eckhart to time-served (138 days) to 18 months.

He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.

Eckhart will not be released from custody as he has a detainer filed against him by Lehigh County officials on a probation violation petition.
