Andreas Halloween Parade scheduled
The West Penn Township Lions and Lioness Clubs, along with the Andreas Sporting Club will be holding the Andreas Halloween Parade at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16, with the rain date set for 7 p.m. Oct. 17.
The parade committee would like to welcome individual participants or groups to preregister in either the marching or the float category. The deadline to register for the parade is Oct. 11. Only those preregistered are eligible for monetary prizes. Register by contacting Becky at 570-386-3045.
Parade formation begins at 6:15 p.m. at the Andreas Sporting Club. A representative from each group must be present at the sporting club after the parade to receive their prize. All preregistered groups or individuals will be recognized. Please remember that all judges’ decisions are final. Refreshments will be served to parade participants only in the sporting club after the parade.
“At the Andreas Halloween Parade, spectators have the unique opportunity to view the parade twice as it circles around and returns to the beginning of the parade route. There will also be ample parking for both spectators and participants of the parade. We welcome everyone in the area to come out for an evening of fun,” said Becky Neumoyer, chair of the parade.
