Animal shelter to hold yard sale
The Carbon County Animal Shelter is holding its annual yard sale this weekend.
The sale is one of the shelter’s largest fundraisers, with proceeds helping to cover costs to care for the dogs until a forever home is found.
The two-day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, shelter Director Tom Connors said.
“We always have a pretty good selection,” he said.
Connors added that people can still drop off items to donate for the yard sale up until the day of the sales.
Items should be clean and in good, working condition. Most items will be accepted, with the exception of electronics, televisions, big furniture and exercise equipment, which will not be accepted.
To make arrangements to drop off items for the sale, call the shelter at 570-325-4828 during shelter hours and leave a message.
The yard sale will take place at the Carbon County Animal Shelter, located at 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, off Route 93.
Shelter hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
