Animal shelter hosts fundraisers

Carbon County Friends of Animals will be at the Carbon Plaza Mall on Saturday and Sunday selling Easter candy and hosting a Chinese auction.

Volunteers will be at the mall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and the Chinese auction drawing will be held between 4 and 5 p.m. on Sunday.

CCFOA will also host a Coach and Vera Bradley bingo on April 29 at the Orioles Club, 475 Orioles Drive, Lehighton. Doors open at 11 a.m. Games begin at 1.

All proceeds from both events will benefit CCFOA, a nonprofit cat shelter located at 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe.
