Applications available for 2019 scholarships
Applications for nursing, higher education and music scholarships are available for graduating students meeting requirements at Trinity Lutheran Church office, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton.
The William C. and Loretta K. Shirar Memorial Scholarship for Nursing was established for the purpose of awarding scholarships to high school seniors or older individuals pursuing a career as a registered nurse. Should there be no candidate from Trinity Lutheran Church, any applicant from Lehighton Area School District will be considered.
The Jean D. and Robert A. Benner Nursing Scholarship was established for the purpose of awarding a scholarship to a high school senior or older person pursuing a career as a registered nurse. Any applicant from a school district in Carbon County will be considered.
The Thomas L. Reisenweaver Music Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing an undergraduate degree in the music field.
The Marian A. Ashner Memorial Scholarship in Education awards up to two scholarships to members of Trinity Church majoring in education at East Stroudsburg, Bloomsburg, or Kutztown Universities.
The Trinity Higher Education Scholarship and Mark Kreiger Memorial Scholarship were established to provide help to people pursuing a degree or diploma from an accredited school of higher learning.
