Area teams in league playoffs

Schedules have been released for baseball and softball playoffs in the Colonial League, Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and Schuylkill League.

Baseball

In the Colonial League, Palmerton will face Southern Lehigh in a quarterfinal round game today at 10 a.m. at Limeport. Northwestern, which captured the CL West Division championship, received a bye into Tuesday’s semifinals where it will meet the Palmerton-Southern Lehigh winner at 4 p.m. at Parkland High School.

In the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, Pleasant Valley qualified as the No. 8 seed and will travel to No. 1 seed Easton at 11 a.m. today.

In the Schuylkill League, Marian captured the Division 3 title and will face Division 1 champ Blue Mountain on Monday at 7 p.m. at Pine Grove.

Softball

In the Colonial League, Palmerton picked up a quarterfinal victory over Southern Lehigh on Friday night to reach the semifinals where it will face Northern Lehigh in a 5 p.m. game at Patriot’s Park in Allentown.
