Band concert in Tamaqua postponed
The Third Brigade Band Concert scheduled for tonight in Tamaqua has been postponed due to the potential for heavy rain and wind.
The outdoor concert has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. May 22 at the East End Playground on Mountain Avenue.
There will be free refreshments served after the concert.
The event is part of the Tamaqua Remembers project in honor of the 150th observance of Memorial Day.
Other Tamaqua Remembers events for this week will go on as scheduled. That includes an American Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ on Pine Street, and the opening of the Salute to Our Veterans exhibit at the Tamaqua Historical Society Annex, 114 W. Broad St., at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
