Banners for Lehighton Hometown Heroes project several weeks away
Banners that will proudly display military personnel are likely to grace the streets of Lehighton within a few weeks.
The brackets have arrived for the Hometown Heroes Banners project, according to Kevin Long, commander of the Lehighton United Veterans Organization.
“We expect them to be soon,” Long said. “Sometime in August.”
Long said a total of 302 banners will honor area men and women who have served and continue to serve our country during any time of service.

Long said each banner costs $200.
He said anyone interested in a banner who didn’t have a chance to get one will be able to do so starting again in March.
