Bark Bash Festival slated for Blue Mountain Resort
Blue Mountain Resort is celebrating the start of its green season with its second annual Bark Bash Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
A free festival for all ages, guests are invited to bring their furry best friends for a day of playing outside, listening to live music, enjoying delicious food, and having lots of fun.
For the second year, the resort is partnering with local animal rescues along with the Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and will be accepting food donations. The food bank is looking for food for dogs, cats, and a variety of other animals, with an emphasis on dry cat food.
Any guest who brings food for donation will be entered to win a $100 Blue Mountain gift card.
Last year, the resort donated more than $500 worth of animal food as a result of the festival.
Graystone All-Stars and Leighann & Company will provide live music.
Other activities will include a K-9 Cop demonstration, an animal first aid demonstration, and live training demonstrations, local crafters and vendors selling pet-related products and treats and a play area.
The resort will be offering Goat Yoga at the festival, hosted by Jim Thorpe Yoga Studio.
Guests are invited to take a mini-yoga class while enjoying the company of baby goats, provided by Moon View Farm. There is a cost for classes.
