Beck named Palmerton girls basketball coach

Dan Beck will be the new Palmerton girls’ basketball head coach following unanimous approval from the school board Tuesday night.

Beck has previously been an assistant coach with the team. He will replace Ralph Andrews, who resigned after two years at the helm

Other coaching appointments Tuesday include Jeremy Coleman, assistant boys’ basketball coach; Brian Stevko, assistant boys’ basketball coach; Art George II, volunteer boys’ basketball coach; and Mark Quinn, volunteer boys’ basketball coach.

Palmerton also accepted the resignation of its head field hockey coach Taryn Burke.
