Blood drive planned in Weissport

The Lehighton Area Democrats, with the help of the Jacob’s United Church of Christ, will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the downtown Weissport Park.

Christman said, “This is an important time to replenish blood supplies for our area. You never know who you will be helping. It could be a friend, a child or yourself.”

The drive is sponsored by Mario’s Pizza, Central Lunch, Zigs Beverage, Burger King, HTA Machine and Chantilly Goods.

Donors will receive coupons from Burger King and a chance to win prizes from sponsors.
