MOUNT BETHEL, Pa. (AP) — Officials in Pennsylvania say the body of a New Jersey man who disappeared last month while canoeing on the Delaware River has been found.

Thirty-nine-year-old Cheeyen Yap of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey was reported missing May 25 after the canoe carrying him and a woman capsized on the river near the Monroe/Northampton county line. The woman was rescued by others visiting the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
State police say emergency responders were called June 2 after a body was found floating in the river in Upper Mount Bethel Township. The Northampton County coroner says the remains were identified as those of Yap, who died of drowning. His death was ruled accidental.
