Bomb squad removes material from Lansford

Suspicious material was removed Monday night in Lansford after borough police called the Allentown Bomb Squad.

Police were reporting that it was an isolated Hazmat incident and people were asked to remain in their homes. According to reports on the scene the package contained possible explosives and was removed by the bomb squad.

The 300 to 400 blocks were closed off shortly after 7 p.m. after the package was found.
