Bombers’ Hosier tops 1,000-point mark

Palmerton’s Justin Hosier led his team in scoring and also topped a career milestone as Palmerton edged Saucon Valley in boys basketball on Monday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Saucon Valley-Palmerton

Justin Hosier scored his 1,000-career point as Palmerton came out on top with a 54-51 Colonial League win over Saucon Valley.

Hosier entered the contest needing just six points to reach the career milestone, and he easily surpassed that, netting a game-high 21 points. The Bombers’ Kody Kratzer added 14 points.

Gabe Montero paced the Panthers with 14 points.

Kutztown-Northwestern

Northwestern used its perimeter shooting to dial in on a 68-37 non-league win over Kutztown.

The Tigers drained a total of 10 three-pointers on the night.

Sean McCann hit four treys on his way to a team-high 15-point night performance for Northwestern. Andres Garrido added 13 points.

Marlon Creed paced the Cougars with 17 points.

The Wreckers scored the games first 13 points to ease past the Rams.

Scotty Zoscin had 21 points to lead the Wreckers (3-2), while Chad Obert added a career-high 13 points.

PV placed three players in double figures. Stephen Hood led the way with 16 points, while Chase Weaver and Drew Kokinda chipped in with 13 and 12, respectively.
