Brodheadsville woman facing DUI charges

A 26-year-old woman from Brodheadsville is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 2:14 p.m. March 11 along Block Township Road in Polk Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said they stopped the woman, who was driving a 2007 Honda, for a traffic violation, after which time they learned she was impaired. Police said she was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI-drugs.

Police did not release the person’s name.
