Brooklyn man faces charges in Monroe

State police at Fern Ridge charged a Brooklyn, New York, man with drug possession charges after a traffic stop they made at 3:31 p.m. Feb. 21 on Interstate 80 eastbound in Tobyhanna Township.

Tobin Securobrown, 23, will have to report to Magisterial District Court No. 43-4-04 to answer the charge.

Police said he was stopped for a traffic violation while driving a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu and police said they observed indicators of criminal activity. Police said Securobrown refused to allow police to search the vehicle.

Police then summoned a narcotics detection K-9 that alerted them to an odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle then yielded marijuana, THC wax and THC cartridges, police said.
