Brush fire in Jim Thorpe
Fire companies from Jim Thorpe, Nesquehoning and the Bureau of Forestry responded to a brush fire Friday afternoon near the intersection of West Fourth and Oak streets in Jim Thorpe. Fire fighters were hampered battling the fire due to a steep terrain and heavy brush. Fire crews managed to lay lines into the fire scene helping to extinguish the blaze.
