Capobianco nationally ranked

Alvernia junior wrestler Ali Capobianco has earned Alvernia Wrestling’s first-ever individual national ranking.

The Panther Valley graduate was ranked as Honorable Mention for the 197 weight class in d3wrestle.com’s second ranking of the year.

After going 3-0 to open his season at the Lycoming Invitational, Capobianco, a two-time state qualifier, finished second with two wins by fall at the Gettysburg Invitational.

In Alvernia’s first dual meet in program history, Capobianco defeated Moustafa Almeky of Wilkes in a 3-2 decision.
