Carbon business cited by liquor board

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Griff’s Ale Haus & Grille, 328 S. Second St., Lehighton, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The date of the offense was June 21.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
