Carbon business cited by PLCB

Published December 10. 2019 01:02PM

The former owners of a Carbon County business were cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

The Palmerton Hotel Inc., 302-304 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited on Sept. 6 and 7 for selling alcoholic beverages after the hotel license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated. Ownership has changed hands as of Nov. 10.

This charge will be brought before an administration law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones.

In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.

Comments
The old owner was a real scumbag and trashed the place before he left. Ran the business into the ground and gave the place a bad name, hopefully the new owner has much better success.
