Carbon CERT training scheduled
The Carbon County Community Emergency Response Team will hold a disaster preparedness training from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on April 30, May 14 and 21 at the Carbon County Emergency Management Agency, 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning.
This free three-day training will provide residents with information on first aid and triage, disaster preparedness, fire suppression, search and rescue and terrorism awareness.
Those who complete the course will be recognized as a trained civilian volunteer in the event of an emergency and will be able to assist municipal emergency service organizations.
Attendance at all three sessions is required for course completion credit.
