Carbon County COG to host spring fling

The Carbon County Council of Governments is hosting a spring fling for township and borough officials.

Carbon County Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein, who is a member of the council of governments, said that at 6 p.m. on May 22 at the Park and Recreation Center, 1770 Fireline Road, Palmerton, the group will hold its spring fling to highlight the progress it has had as a collaborative.

The Carbon County Council of Governments is a joint effort between 19 municipalities and the county to help secure grants, equipment and help each other better serve the community.

Nothstein said that there will be a short presentation for officials, followed by a small gathering to get to know each other.
