Carbon County commissioners
The Carbon County Commissioners took action on the following items during their meeting on Thursday. Commissioner Thomas J. Gerhard was absent.
• Approved the reappointment of John Strockoz of Lehighton as local government representative on the Agricultural Land Preservation Board. His term expires April 10, 2022.
• Approved the acceptance of federal fiscal year 2019 certifications and assurances for federal transit administration assistance programs.
• Approved subcontract agreements for the 2018 Emergency Solutions Grant program through the state Department of Community and Economic Development contract for Nov. 30, 2018, through May 30, 2020, with the Carbon County Action Committee for Human Services, $45,000 — $30,000 for rapid rehousing and $15,000 homelessness prevention; and Family Promise of Carbon County, $34,200 —$24,625 for emergency shelter and $9,575 for rapid rehousing.
